THE STORY BEHIND THE BOOK
Scott Highmark
Author, business leader, decorated athlete, husband, and father, exploring what it means to build a life of lasting significance.
A Career Built on Purpose
Scott Highmark is the cofounder and president of Mosaic Family Wealth and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who helps successful families and high-capacity leaders align money with what matters most. He brings decades of experience in wealth management, including roles at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and A.G. Edwards & Sons.
Beyond the "More" Mindset
A former two-time Academic All-America basketball player at Saint Louis University, Scott has been deeply inspired by John Wooden's Pyramid of Success for more than 40 years. The legendary UCLA coach's framework for personal greatness shaped Scott's own approach to leadership, purpose, and life. Yet throughout his own journey, a question persistently echoed in his heart: Is there something more? That search led him beyond the "more" mindset toward a life of purpose, freedom, and significance—and ultimately inspired The Significance Pyramid.
Grounded in What Matters Most
Scott lives in the St. Louis area with his wife, Linsey, and their three daughters. He has also served as a television color analyst for college basketball for more than 20 years, covering Saint Louis University, the Missouri Valley Conference, and other collegiate and high school events. When he's not advising clients or calling games, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the St. Louis community.
